Welcome to DK Horn Engineering & Design, Inc., founded in 2012 by Darlene K Horn, Principal Engineer. In 2018, she further elevated the firm by joining forces with Tony Mihelich, expanding the Design services and outreach. Committed to diversity and progress, we proudly operate as a majority women-owned and operated firm. At DKH, we foster an environment that encourages our dedicated staff to pursue advancements in the field, contributing to the ever-evolving landscape of engineering and design. Meet the Staff

    Darlene

    Our Principal Engineer and Founder of DK Horn Engineering & Design, Inc., has a B.A.S in Mechanical Engineering and has worked in the engineering field since graduating college in 1993. She has successfully designed projects from concept to construction completion all over the State of Colorado, Utah and New Mexico. Patience, expertise and phenomenal Female Boss.

    Tony

    Our Vice President and Principal Designer, has an A.A.S. in Civil Engineering Technology and has worked in Survey, Drafting, Design, and Project Management for the past 20+ years. Tony brings over 25 years of real-world expertise with Auto-CADD, Civil 3D, Civil/Structural/Architectural engineering and design, and understanding the scope and plans of all projects. Tony is currently working on his Architecture License and he is one of few that is Certified in OWTS.

    Jaclyn

    With over 20 years of experience in drafting and design, Jaci specializes in architecture and structural design. Her extensive expertise and attention to detail make her an invaluable asset to our team, ensuring the highest quality in every project she undertakes.

  • Missy

    Missy is DKHorn’s right hand woman. She’s been with the company for over 3 years, working with book keeping, marketing, office managerial tasks, government contracts and client files. She is the resident Yoga & Barre Instructor. She keeps the vibe calm and the office happy. She is thrilled to be apart of this team and the difference they make in our community.

  • Charlie

    Charles “Charlie” is the moral officer of the office. Ever protective of his engineering family, he enjoys his days making sure everyone is calm and content. He loves greeting clients and going on walks. Everyday is a good day for Charlie and his energy is contagious.
